Hotels
Hotels in Copenhagen and Malmö have been working with greening for a long time. There are several certification systems and organizations available. More than 15 years ago the Danish Hotel & Restaurant Association (HORESTA) initiated ecolabel for tourism products, which today has become the international eco-label of the Green Key. Today, criterias are available for hotels, camping sites, hostels, summer houses, restaurants, leisure facilities, and conference facilities. You will find the green key symbol on most of the Copenhagen hotels.

Some of the major Scandinavian hotel chains, such as the Scandic, the Radisson Blu Hotels and several others, have gone one step further in their work for sustainability, and have received the “the Nordic Swan” certificate. This is the equivalent to the eco-label of the European Flower.
Now more than 7200 green hotel rooms
It is worth mentioning that the cities of Copenhagen and Malmö are now able to offer more than 7200 green hotel rooms.
